Clothing Haul and some Updates!

Small Clothing Haul

Haven't bought anything for a while so thought I would treat myself to a good ole' fashioned shopping indulgence. I didn't find everything I wanted that day but I was happy with my purchases.... until I found out my car got towed as I was shopping! Oh dear.. but let's not worry about that at the moment, it's time for my reveal!

Surprisingly comfortable boots! I find that I can wear these for 6 hours straight (with a break in the middle, of course) and be fine. Barely touches the mid calf and is a practical two inches. I still need to buy more to quench my boots lemmings!

I LOVE this purse but my mom thought it was the ugliest thing she's ever seen. I adore all the studs and embellishments tacked on and the giant clasp on the bag. It gets that scrunched up look when it's closed and the chain is removable. It can hold a surprising amount including a camera, makeup and cellphone. Forget my mom, it's probably too rockin' for her to handle ;]

It's a plaid shirt!
Yup that's pretty much it. Purple has always been one of my favorite colours to wear and never looks tacky!

Big mistake getting these flats.. they killed my feet after 3 hours. The ruffled cloth and studs aren't worth it! Okay maybe.

Pair of grey skinny jeans with hole punch studs and mild distressing. I just found out that I can't squeeze my ass into size 24 pants anymore. I have to upgrade to 25 instead. This is a hollow feeling...

Unrelated scarf that I bought at H&M for $2! They were having some sort of sale and I got one for my mom too. Pretty warm and great for the winter season.

Oh yeah I dyed my hair slightly darker. A tutorial on how to dye hair at home coming up soon!
I actually don't like this colour much so I will be dying it back to brown any day now.

Three tiered necklace! Initially I thought it looked a little ridiculous on, but I'm warming up to it.

A simple gold chain necklace. I have way too many silver pieces.. actually they're all silver! I need to mix it up and incorporate some golden into my wardrobe. Why don't I wear jewelery anymore? In the 11th grade, I was almost arrested for over-accessorizing everyday and now none of them have seen daylight in months!

Sorry for rambling on, anyways! I just had a great day today, I just sold over $651 of clothing (to one customer) and I got paid and we got fab new tenants and other little things today that made me smile. And among it all, I found time to blog today! I had lots of problems uploading photos and I can no longer copy and paste photos. So instead of one simple step, I have to take 6 more steps to apply pictures on my blog. But I don't care because I enjoy blogging (:

Missed you guys!
(:

Fashion Trends that are IN/OUT

Fashion Trends that are IN/OUT

These are trends that I've noticed being worn around my city or at school that I absolutely LOVE or HATE. Just my opinion, don't come after me.

LOVE YES

Leggings/tights

http://styleinspired.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/shorts-over-tights.jpg

YES. Even when it's paired with jean skirt and converse!
They have the flawless ability to dress up or down a dress or unskankify a potentially slutty outfit.
LOVE tights. They have many different versions such as liquid, jean, pattern, tattoo, ripped and lace.

Plaid

http://www.whowhatwear.com/website/admin/uploads/how-they-wear-plaid.jpg

Hot new trend. Bring a little country chic to your every day outfit ;) A great way to add a little POP in your clothing by wearing a cute patterned piece.
A plaid shirtdress seems to be the most versatile piece to be incorporated into daily wear.

Designer Jeans

http://www.myddnetwork.com/clothing-shoes-accessories/wp-content/uploads/zara-jeans.jpg

For those who don't mind spending a money on quality denim to look extra fashionable. The perfect pair of jeans would flatter the bum, accentuate the legs, feel comfortable and have a nice logo without being too flashy.
Great brands would be True Religion, Rock and Republic, Levis, William Rast and more.

Ankle Booties

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This is one trend I hope stays. They are so easy to wear and comfortable! Wear them with short skirts, skinny jeans, tights or a dress! Ankle booties unfortunately makes the leg shorter so most of them come with a sexy heel.

Over the Knee Boots

http://consumerbrigade.com/clothes2perfection/files/2008/09/celeb-over-knee-boots.gif

One of the biggest trends this year are OTK boots. They are super sexy and make your legs seem to go on for miles..
Wear them with a short dress, tights or over jeans! The best OTK boots are in suede, go slightly over the knee and can be folded over to transform into knee high boots (:

Super huge or mega tiny bags

http://thetrendsetter.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/oversized-white-bags-trend.jpg

Large bags: So versatile and roomy! You could carry your whole life in that thing. Phone, documents, makeup, extra clothing, food.. it holds everything! And toting a huge bag around would make you seem smaller and skinnier in comparison =D

Small bags: So dainty and lady like! And let's face it, the large purses get really heavy sometimes. A small purse is only used for holding the essentials for the women. Keys, phone, debit card is all you need (or can fit) in the bag ^^

High Waisted skirts

http://midorilei.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/high_waist_skirts.jpg

They have the ability to completely flatter your body by accentuating your legs and your waist! The shirt or tank top that is being tucked into the skirt should be plain as to not draw attention away from the skirt.

Oversized Bow headbands

http://www.watch-gossip-girl.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/blair-waldorf-bow-headband-o-brother-where-bart-thou-gossip-girl-season-2-pic-1.jpg

A la Blair Waldorf from the hit show Gossip Girl. :D This trend has mostly died out since the character has stopped donning her signature headbands but I still like it. ^^
Forever 21 or TopShop sells some nice bow headbands that imitate this style.

Leather Jackets

http://blogs.glam.com/glamchic/files/2008/01/hollywood-black-leather-jackets.jpg

Leather jackets are fun, edgy and versatile! Wear it to dress up an simple outfit with jeans or make a glam dress more causal.
To get that 'rocker chic' look, pair the jacket with a metallic tank with ripped jeans and sexy heels or boots and sunglasses.

Bandage Dresses

http://runwaydaily.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54ed9ed53883300e5535dabb58833-800pi

The newest fad in hollywood, it seems like every celebrity is rocking one of these dresses by Herve Ledger. Everyone can wear a bandage dress. They are made specifically to accentuate curves, slim down the body and holds down body fat. The best thing about the bandage dress is the way it's layered. The material is cut into strips and sewn in layers to create the illusion of a flattened stomach and hips.

HATE NO

Crocs

http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/strollerderby/2008/07/23-End%20of%20Month/crocs%20suck.JPG

Hideous shoes with revolting neon colours to match, these things are disgusting. Crocs flatter no one and any glam piece of clothing it's paired with instantly goes down a notch. Apparently the comfort makes up for this ugly eyecandy. They'd better feel like marshmallows, silk and cashmere because I cannot think of one reason why anyone would wear them.

Ed Hardy

http://mousemakingsushi.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/jongosselindoucheness.jpg

Not only are they expensive, gaudy and unsightly, it also gives people the impression that a rainbow threw up on you after eating a meal consisting of glitter particles and shimmer makeup. The tattoos the apparel is based off makes no sense (Love kills slowly??) and I couldn't think of anyone who would tattoo that on their body.
And it isn't always the case but... everytime I talk to anyone wearing Ed Hardy, they almost always turn out to be a douchebag. It's kinda like their uniform.

Touch Screen Gadgets

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/lovely-star-touchscreen-pmp_1.jpg

It's probably just me but I hate every piece of electronic with a touch screen on it. While playing with my friend's iTouch or Nokia phone, I noticed that it only responds to my touch 30% of the time. Then I have to jab at the stupid screen over and over again while still being gentle as to not 'scratch the delicate screen'.
I don't get the fad with touch screens. Yay you can tap on a screen. I hope you enjoy the smudgy, greasy fingerprints that will inevitably result after 45 seconds of usage.
This is why I have a Blackberry. It involves a long lost piece of technology called BUTTONS. This how I can text when I'm not looking and can actually feel for the places to press. I want to see someone with an iPhone text quickly and confidently without looking back once.

Shutter Shades

http://cdn.buzznet.com/media-cdn/jj1/headlines/2008/01/paris-hilton-pastelle-shutter-shades.jpg

Yes, they look rad! Yes, Kanye wore them in 'Stronger'!
But they do not protect your eyes from UV rays and they block around 50% of your vision due to the blinds.
They may be fun to play around with and cam whore with and maybe wear to a party. But the trend is already dying out. Even Kanye West has stopped wearing his.

Items that I lust for...

LUST. COVET. DESIRE.
All terrible sins that are not allowed according to the bible.

Items should not be worshiped. Then why can't I stop obsessing over these items?

I'm just going to blog once about these items just to get it out of my system.

Items I want/will have once I get a job or graduate and stop being such a deadbeat:

DESIGNER JEANS

http://www.marshallsclothingcompany.com/usrimage/true_religion_joey.jpghttp://cdn2.ioffer.com/img/item/118/990/619/Gjog8Dg3l8Y4dzK.jpghttp://static.squidoo.com/resize/squidoo_images/-1/draft_lens2210734module12630272photo_1226851693seven-jeans-high-waisted.jpghttps://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsWEN_vVbSFOC0AqnZ2y4xnZ25yiEOqrBPs0u42vt0-c5e7HumvipqJOJLxzRrVNONZCK3Bd8NKVRKYAO4Nj42PPUPOEdWTKKxxrEZdil5zqrmreu4wXE8zv3NPXeH4CA7SxQKZfO3Bff9/s400/William+Rast+%27Belle%27+Flare+Stretch+Jeans+(Silver+Dreams).jpg

In order: True religion, rock and republic, seven for all mankind, william rast.

Such a stylish, expensive trend. All costing over $150 retail.
So what's so good about these pants? First of all, the cutting of these jeans is impecciable. They have been perfectly cut to fit you properly. The details are amazing and the inseam often has double lock stitching. And of course, the back pocket signature/design is PRETTY!
These jeans are specially made with the ability to elongate your legs and make your ass look great all for the low low price of $200!

Louis Vuitton Speedy 35
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8UrpeRc7RxEwLisoRb3JTj2QC46i7ZibCeoAHizRNzHOqJCNiv0cbkFm2i7x7vs_0FiVwxb1-564_yi2PNVQG4Y4le1au1IqRdKfn-h29PzEnDvRNNTMPITkkSeWmT9lkjcw7ZC1ptss/s400/lv+speedy.jpg

It goes with every single outfit, is waterproof and resistance to scratches, is large enough to hold all your possessions but not big enough to overpower you, has a gorgeous monogram pattern and is classic bag that will NEVER go out of style.
The LV speedy is a fantastic bag that every fashionista should have in her bag wardrobe. It's an investment bag (a piece that is on the pricey side but should not hesitate to buy because it's worth the money) that will still be considered classic decades or even generations from now! It's a much better buy than Versace's lastest feathered/tulle/sequined purse from the runway. You will feel like a million bucks with the LV speedy dangling on your arm. (:

Christian Louboutins Peeptoe Heels

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0KiSWz3fcSs/SJ-wGs31MYI/AAAAAAAAAEM/_9rvV5_3ADM/s320/platformLouboutins1%5B1%5D.JPG

The sleek heels! The signature red soles! The adorably playful peeptoe! The gorgeous black patent leather! The blisters! The $700 bill to be paid with my soul! The Louboutins.
Need I say more?

Chanel no 5

http://di1.shopping.com/images1/pi/89/11/8f/45569796-300x300-0-0_Chanel+Chanel+No+5+50+Ml+Eau+De+Parfum+For+Women+C.jpg

It smells pretty. According to Rachel, it smells like soap suds and she thinks she can make a better perfume using dish soap. Different strokes for different folks.

I think it smells like ylang ylang, neroli, rose and jasmine, sandalwood, vetiver and vanilla.
No really, I think it smells like soap too. I like that happy, soapy scent though.

This classic bottle of perfume costs around $200 which sounds unreasonable, considering it's just a mixture of fragrance oils.

Blackberry Curve

http://www.blackberrytips.net/smartphones/BlackBerry_Curve_8330_Phone_Pink_Verizon_Wireless.jpg

I already have a Blackberry, I know shut up.
This one comes in baby pink though!

And it has more memory and longer battery than my current one!

What? Can't a girl dream?
