Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder 'pro' review yo

BOOOOOO!!!

Now that I've got your attention, allow me to introduce you to some products.. /

Stila Illuminating Powder in Rose Gold.
And I know this is a flaw with many other powder products out there as well (Coastal Scents for example), but when I flipped it over, the product fell out.

No biggie, however I was scared of it cracking on me so I popped it back into the compact. I just wish it came fixed in a metal pan or something.
All that aside, Stila gives you an enormous amount of product for your money.. you wouldn't need to repurchase for a long time (: I suppose if this does break up on you, you could always crush it and use as a loose powder.

The product is a fine, shimmering powder that goes to give the face a subtle glow. The sparkles aren't overwhelming- it contains just the right about of glimmer to give me an overall radiant look. The powder deposits a very light, natural colour on the face, giving you an healthy glowing complexion.

I used Illuminating Powder on my cheeks but I imagine it can be used all over the face as a highlighter, eyeshadow or even built up as a bronzer. I love that it has gold undertones which makes it great for my Asian yellow toned skin >=o .

A pretty good product, I like this Finishing Powder ^~^ I had no problem getting the shimmer powder onto my brush (uber soft Ecotools brush) like many others had.

This tiny little Model co compact case I got was adorable! I'm not quite sure that the powder inside was for- a highlighter or eyeshadow. I felt as though it could double for both.
A pigmented and shimmery off white, which can be applied over the lids or top of the cheekbones. How versatile~ this is a great little item.

Appropriate weather in Vancouver.. FAIL

Terrible weather in Vancouver for the 2010 winter Olympics. Not working out, Vancouver.
First there was SUN for two or three days. Then it was FREEZING COLD, but still no snow. Then today during Oval rehearsal.. RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN AND WIND. So much freaking rain and we weren't allowed to wear our hoods! My hair and makeup were ruined and my boots were soaked. Everyone was so cold and miserable. And on top of that, our practice sucked. We were not in harmony at all. If it's like this tomorrow (actual opening of the 2010 Olympics), I'm not even going to bother showing up. In a choir of 3000, who's going to miss one girl singing soprano? But at least I get to skip Accounting tomorrow due to rehearsal.

gorgeous weather.. very un-vancouver like

Bright sun! Can hardly see..

celebrating the beautiful weather outside.
rarely is it actually this nice during winter!

HAPPY NEW YEARS OHAITHER2010

Happy New Years everyone!

Why hello there 2010. I hope y'all be treatin me well.

Don't cheat on your resolutions yet! They've barely had a chance to live D:

I rang in the new years at a house party, meeting new friends and drinking sake ^^
I wish I lived in New York, I want to see the 2 million dollar disco ball descend and bring us into a new year and shower glitter and sparkles all over the city. Fun fact: 41 tonnes of garbage comes from cleaning up after the NYE ball. Geez

Look at these glasses! I'm still not sure if they're the most epic or stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Palty and hair colour fail.

Today I dyed my hair with Palty hair Dye. I was in a huge hurry so I quickly bought the first one I saw that had a model I thought was cute.
I was aiming for dark brown.

Kawaii desuka?

A few before shots. So I can compare how much different my hair is after I get it dyed.

My friend helped me with my hair and he was such a idiot with it >=(. After half my hair was coated, we ran out of dye. He dropped globs of hair product everywhere including the floor, my shirt and my sweater. And the dye got on my face and neck and will probably remain there! It smelt god awful too, I sealed all my windows with tape because of the winter chills so we couldn't open it for some air.

I waited for an hour before washing all the stinky dye off my hair. I used a hair dryer and saran wrap to help keep the heat in. And once I washed it off, it was this colour..........

WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS THIS?

I wanted DARK BROWN why is this BLACK?
HOLY CRAP grad photos are 3 days away, do I have to freaking dye this back AGAIN??

Palty let me down AGAIN. I was aiming for brown the first time, it gave me a orangey-brown. Now I'm aiming for dark brown and it was black.
I look like a freaking emo, I'm not used to myself with my natural hair colour.
Now I look so Asian.

Put more eye shadow on to match my new jet black hair. *retch*

Now I'm a regular raven-hair chick.
