The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Review

Continuing on the trend of hyaluronic acids, I will review the infamous HA product from Toronto based brand The Ordinary. Deciem is a Canadian company that started operations in 2013 and prides itself on providing functional, reasonably priced beauty products at a sensible price. Their prices range from $5-14 CAD, which seem more than reasonable to me. Their business model appears to give the most 'bang for your buck' for the lowest prices on the beauty market.

Product: The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

Visual: White glass bottle with glass dropper.

Volume: My bottle was 30 ml.

Method of Delivery: Glass dropper.

Application Instructions: Apply a few drops to face AM and PM before creams. Apply to dampened face. Repeat several layers if desired.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sodium Hyaluronate, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Panthenol, Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract, Glycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol.

Personal Review:

Lovely product to apply to dampened, cleansed skin. The hyaluronic acid hydrates my dry skin and leaves it feeling smooth and slightly pump. My skin loves this product layered under heavier moisturizers during the drier months. In the summertime, I can apply this as hydrator all on its own under sunscreen. Again, hyaluronic acid tends to draw in moisture to the skin, so it is important to wet your face before you apply the product.

The website states that it "uses three forms of HA with varying molecular weights, as well as an HA crosspolymer, to offer multi-depth hydration and visible plumping without drawing water out of the skin solely to improve temporary surface hydration."

No fragrance detected and no stickiness after application! It feels invisible after it dries on the skin, as products should.

Rating:
A+, highly recommend!
